The belief that Jesus Christ physically existed is supported largely by historical writings and witness testimony. The Jeffrey Epstein files also include witness testimony from survivors describing abuse, trafficking, and exploitation.
That is where the double standard becomes interesting.
Many people accept testimony as meaningful when it supports a belief they already hold, especially when it comes to religion. Yet when survivors connected to Epstein give testimony about powerful men, some of those same people suddenly act as though witness accounts are useless, unreliable, or beneath consideration.
So the question is fair: does witness testimony matter, or does it only matter when it protects a preferred worldview?
If testimony is considered strong enough to help support belief in Jesus Christ, then it should certainly be taken seriously when survivors come forward about abuse, trafficking, and the powerful people surrounding Jeffrey Epstein.
